Isaiah 41:10
"Do not fear: I am with you;
do not be anxious: I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."
Hello, I haven't been posting for a while. Been busy as most of you are with life's challenges and issues. So, I just wanted to encourage you with this verse as we face another Christmas without our EC's and grandchildren... and I know many of us are still sad as we remember the 'family' we used to know and be so sure of.
At least for me, estrangement brings me to a unique season in life, where all we can do, as believers, is listen to what He instructs us to do in His Word...
First, He tells us: Don't be afraid! Why? Because He is with us.
Second, He tells us: Don't be anxious! Why? Because the One who created us and everything ... the One who said "Let there be light" and there was light ... is our God. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!
How? How can we chill out, not be afraid and anxious when the world seems to be so scary? He tells us!
The God of all creation will help us, will strengthen us and even hold our hand ...(not a bad deal eh?) ... not because of who we are, but because of who He is ... because He is righteous!
How blessed we are that H send us His Son ... what a gift from our wonderful Heavenly Father.... God bless each of you as we celebrate the birth of our Savior -- so despite our circumstances of being estranged, we need not despair, be anxious or be afraid for the future because He promises to help us.... Rather, lets look up and not forget to recognize the ultimate gift we have in Jesus. How lucky we are...
Merry Christmas!
