I got that shocking email everyone hopes for out of the blue. I sent her one saying "please consider counseling. I dont even know if this is your email anymore." About 3 weeks later I see an answer from her!!!! " yes I will. Here are some counselers. Pick one." I told her I would get back to her as Im finding out if they take our insurance. I promised I wouldn't tell anyone what we talk about. So I won't be doing that. I'm terribly afraid to say or do the wrong thing. One wrong thing and she will disappear again. Im praying for wisdom. I'm no less than terrified.

Wonderbugg, I'll definitely pray for you and your daughter to have a path forward toward a true reconciliation.
And, although it's harder to do in practice than theory - TRUST GOD in this. Don't walk forward in fear! I've haven't been in that place of possible healing with my EC, but kind of laughably, those who know we fear will try to use it against us. Think of a toddler throwing a tantrum in the middle of a store; on some level they sense your fear of "looking bad" so they use it to manipulate the situation to their benefit. Don't let your daughter "smell" your fear.
Act as if God has it all worked out, then you'll start to think and live it! Because... HE DOES have it all worked out!
Anyway... praying for you to have the stillness and peace to recognize His voice in everything you say and do! I'm so glad you have this unexpected and blessed opportunity with your daughter.
Keep us posted!

As I said, Wonderbugg, it is easier in theory than practice! A lot of the time I act courageous even if I'm not, and at least I can start moving forward... Praying for you, sister!

I will be praying for you Wonderbugg. Sounds like God is moving in your lives. Just savor the precious moments you have together. I had a brief few weeks talking with my daughter, but now back to no contact. I am thankful for what I did have. I am stronger and hopefully wiser. Just be thankful for this time you have.

This is the best news any of us could get. So happy for you Wonderbugg! Being nervous is natural but nothing is more powerful than the Holy Spirit. His power and His words have brought me through the most difficult situations. And His words are perfect. While we are all praying for you, just ask the Holy Spirit to give you His wisdom and His words and, of course, have faith that He will. Then simply rest and trust in Jesus and praise Him for this open door to reconciliation. You will be fine. HE has already done the work. Prayers, blessings and love being sent to you.

I will pray for peace and direction with the right councelor. This is good news but I understand you're worried and probably feel like you are walking on eggshells. All you can do is remain calm and tell your truth in each session.
