I thought this article might be helpful to someone. The author recounts the pain of her troubled, adopted daughter, walking out of her life, and how God is using this to draw him closer to himself. Her story may be different from many here, but the heartache is not. www.desiringgod.org/articles/hope-breaks-through-heartache

I thank you for that post also, Hope. It seems God has been telling me lately that it is not about me, about me being happy and feeling good but, rather, why was I created? What is my purpose? To serve Him, reflect Him and bring others to Him. The woman in the story "got it". I pray I can "really" get it. I have it in my head but, now, I need to live it and stop my pity parties. It is not about me. Thank you, Lord for your patience!
