Abandoned Parents: The Devil's Dilemma: The Causes and Consequences of the Abandonment of Parents by Adult Children by Sharon Wildey
I read the reviews on and the sample they have on Amazon. It stated everything I have felt in this estrangement pain that never goes away. It is plain and simple “ABANDONMENT and REJECTION”. I plan to buy this after I have finished reading “Uninvited”.
"Adult children who abandon their parents are becoming an issue around the globe. This book is about the causes and consequences of this abandonment and abuse. It seeks to authenticate the injury of ostracism to parents and offer a framework for discussion of the issues.
Book and reviews available on Amazon: Kindle version - Abandoned Parents: The Devils Dilemma by Sharon Wildey Read it, I think you will feel much better and understand a little more of the evil we are dealing with.

I so much agree that estrangement by adult children to their parents is evil because it is sin. The family unit is important to our Lord. This is rebellion from His ways and His Word.
I pray our EC will return to God (my ED) or come to Him for salvation. May they become thirsty for God. Then He will lead them back to family.

I am so happy to hear you are getting involved in a new church. I agree with you about not talking about estrangement. Most people do not understand. Please come here for that support. We care!

Oh, Wonderbugg, I can so sympathize with your feelings of loneliness. Even the people who love me, and they are few, are tired of my sadness too. Or they are afraid of it. I feel like I have to dole it out carefully, in small portions or they may runaway. No one sees me. As loving and compassionate as they try to be, they just don't get it. I'm so grateful for this site, and so grateful you are here, Wonder! We need each other and share a private sisterhood.

We understand each other - even when we don't understand the WHY of it all.
