Most of you will recall that Faith had been asking for prayers for her brother. God had sustained him for some time and gave him a supernatural strength to endure beyond what is imaginable. I, personally, believe it was for Faith to have time to talk with him and give him what no other member of her family could have given him. He passed away early this morning and although Faith is grieving, I believe she knows God used her during this time and that her brother is with Jesus.
Please pray for Faith. As we all know, our estrangements add to the tragedies we face and it is at these times, our mind starts going places it shouldn't. My prayer is for God to protect Faith during this time and for Faith to be confident of who she is in HIM. She is a special, precious Sister.

Oh my goodness, thank you for letting us know JeepGirl. I also believe that He allowed her to have that time with her brother to comfort her that she will see her brother again in eternity. My heart goes out to her. She has been so faithful to her family, and also to this group; I pray God will wrap her in His wide and deep arms.

Jeep Girl emailed me telling me to look at this site. No words can explain my feelings at this time, but knowing so many on here cares means the world to me at this time. I am so thankful for the extra mile Jeep girl has gone. My brother passed on this morning around 1 am. I still believe God heals and I know my brother is healed now. For so long I kept the faith for a miracle, but this is the most devastating disease I have ever witnessed someone suffering. Cancer would have been a blessing. The only person I know that suffered more dying was Jesus Christ himself. I did get the chance to witness to him and I am sure he is with Jesus now. In my last conversations with him I got the chance to say the things that many regret never having the chance to say to loved ones before they pass. My brother knew I loved him so much and he was my hero. He was one who didn't like to text, but several times at the end, I received texts letting me know he loved me, but so weak he could not use the phone We had been estranged for several years prior to his illness and thank God above all, he restored our relationship. How much I regret that so many wasted years went by that will never be recovered. Yet, the next time we meet, it will be forever. He will be strong again, no more pain!!! Yes, my heart is broken beyond measure, but God is my comforter and I know he will see me through. I am overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and so thankful for friends like you. We are not an island to ourselves and we need each other daily. Continue praying for all of us who are going through estrangement. I pray that soon God will restore each of our families and we will witness our ec coming back to God and to us. The impact of estrangement is devastating to say the least.
Again, special thanks to Jeep Girl for being there for me when I called at 1 am. You are so special to me even if we don't share the same likes of reading... LOL
Ruth, God works in mysterious ways! It was God that caused you to be online when I came searching for someone. Thank you for praying, and talking me through the remainder of the night.
Autumnwind, you are special also. Thank you for taking time to write and asking about updates on my brother. May God bless you abundantly. I pray for you daily!
and for everyone else who prayed, from my entire family, WE ARE GRATEFUL.
Please continue to pray. The next days ahead will be tough.
I would like to add a suggestion: If any time you see where a contribution needed for research on the disease, Aggressive Systematic Schleroderma, (not sure spelled right), please give if able. I would not wish this on anyone.
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU, MY FRIENDS

My brother's funeral was today. I have so many mixed emotions, but I am sure God will see me through. I just wanted to thank everyone who prayed and took time to write, call, etc during one of life's hardest trials, the lost of a loved one. I could feel the prayers! God is so Good. Like the song says, He is God on the Mountain and God in the valley. Life is easy when you are on the mountain, but it is in the valley when your faith is tested. My friends, cling on to God, he is our only answer. Again, I thank you all and because of your prayers, the angels are rejoicing because another child of God's has gone home. Please continue to pray for me and my family during this time. Love you all and May God Bless you abundantly.

I know that despite your faith, Faith ( ;-) !), the days ahead will no doubt be difficult anyway. Please know we continue to pray for you and are here for you in any way. God is faithful to those who draw their strength and joy from Him; praying that he will continue to give you the peace and comfort only He can provide. ((hugs))

I agree also Faith. You will be in my prayers as well. I'm so glad you had the opportunity to spend time with your brother, and that he accepted Jesus. His pain and suffering are gone, and he is in the comforting presence of our Lord. I pray The Lord comforts you during this time.

Faith, my prayers are with you. I remember all the chats we had about your brother and how excited you where that God had brought you back together. I lost the link to this site from my iPad and could not find it until yesterday I thank God that we have this site to share, pray for each other and be understood. We have to remember that God is in control and His will be done when we lose a loved one.
With great love, Betty
