First, please let me say thankyou to everyone on this site for your love for each other, and prayers for our EC's. This site is a wonderful blessing for those of us experiencing estrangement, and those who are in the fragile early stages of possible reconciliation.
I've been cautious to openly talk about the possible reconciliation with my ED, but in my response yesterday to hurtmom, I realized it was time to be vulnerable.
I've always prayed that The Lord would bring about a situation in my daughter's life, that would help her learn to appreciate God and family. I don't think her feelings about God have changed (yet,) but she did reach out to me just to communicate. She and her husband have gone through a bitter divorce, and I think she recognizes that a broken family is never a good thing, now that she's living through it herself. I'm so grateful this communication is happening @ holiday time, I feel really blessed that I can send gifts. Yes, she's sent me her address! Amazing grace!
This may be my only Christmas before I'm cut off again, (sorry for the cynicism) and I'm planning on enjoying every moment while I have it! All things all possible with God, and I pray that my ED is really sincere, and we can develop a relationship. I told her I would love to travel to see them if she agrees, and she did! I'm planning a trip in the next few months. I thank Our Lord everytime we talk or text....it feels so wonderful.
Thankyou Jesus for your mercy and grace.
