My husband has mobility issues and dementia. A procedure on anarterial blockage in April left him unable to walk and deepened his dementia. He went to a rehab facility and has been unable to return home. He has been unable to participate in meaningful conversations for some time. On Thursday he needed an emergency surgery. He was feverish, minimally responsive to questions and even had difficulty recognizing me. Before they wheeled him away we had a minute alone and I was inspired to ask him about his faith. I know he is a believer but I did not know if he may have turned away in his troubles. I asked "Do you believe that Jesus died for you sins? Are you saved?" He looked into my eyes, smiled and said "Yes, absolutely. The Lord has got this! Don't worry" What a gift! The Lord took his weakness and confusion from him for a moment so I could be reassured by the man I love that we will meet again in heaven. I felt all my concern for the surgery melt away. I have been walking on air ever since. The surgery in April took so much from him and I had feared the outcome. He is doing very well following the surgery. THE LORD HAS GOT THIS!

Rose, I am so sorry that your husband and you have gone through such a difficult time since April. What a miracle to hear that he is doing better since the surgery. Your faith has remained strong. Your husband's response to your question was awesome. "God has got this". Praise the Lord for those true words he spoke. I will keep you both in prayer. Please keep us updated. God bless you both.

Thank you for sharing about your husband, Rose. God always seems to let us know He is still there even in our darkest times. Here is your husband, the patient, telling you "God has got this." What a beautiful gift! Praying for God to continue sustaining both of you. And, as lindajoan said, please keep us updated. Praying also that you have a good support system and, if not, asking God to direct you and provide all that you need. Love and prayers...
