Thanks Luke for the welcome and forum help...Hope your weather stays behaved! I live in tornado alley and have experienced many of them. Praying that you and all in the danger zone stay safe! Back to the subject of poetry; Do you enjoy poetry? I've recently started reading and enjoying poetry again. It's calming, healing and a soothing balm. I'm reading Upstream by Mary Oliver. Beautiful words on her observation of nature. She is one of my favorites. I also love Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Virginia Woolf. Who are your favorites?

Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of poetry. I do not read enough of it. I will look up the one you are reading. God bless you.

I'm also a fan of Walt Whitman, William Blake and Christina Rossetti but I have loved Robert Frost since I was a kid. His work just resonates with me for whatever reason. I homeschooled our kids and they had to memorize a poem a week. That's been so long ago and I forgot how wonderful it can be! Thank you for reminding me!

Even though I haven't taken the time lately to read poetry. I "think" in a poetic meter a lot. The most important thing to me is that God writes His poetry in us and we are His poem. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Some translations say "workmanship" but the Greek word is "poema" ~~~~ we are God's poem!!!! He has not only engraved us on His hands (Isaiah 49:16) but He has written us in His heart! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! We can trust Him Who holds us so close.
