Again and again I check this site? Has it moved again? As far as I know, we're still here. Probably everyone is just busy... For instance, my non-estranged son got married last week and just left Sunday, but then the stress, lack of sleep, and whirlwind schedule caught up with me so I've got the flu. Others are likely dealing with life too! 😊 But I'm around; I'm pretty sure it would be posted here if we moved. Are you alright? If you need us, no doubt everyone will chime in...

I'm still here and still have an ED.
I haven't been posting because I am afraid to post.
ED is very computer savvy. In the past she monitored my postings on FB and who to be friends with on FB.
I am afraid of her. She is like her Dad. If I go outside their wants they yell. I am estranged from her until I do something she doesn't like, then lookout.
So I keep a low profile. Just call me a people pleaser.

Well, life happens. No news from my ES and his family - made it through the holidays....but going through horrific problems with some students at school: abduction, possible pregnancy(s), my top students cheating...then deadlines for the organization I am president of...lingering cold/cough....and longed-for (since the '60's) miraculous connections. It has indeed been a whirlwind and I am tired...though have many miles to go before I can settle down. Looking forward to a snow day that doesn't look promising! Surprisingly, the estrangement has become the new norm of my life so it is less difficult to live from day to day with it...does that make sense? In other words, since there is no change in that venue, other things that do need to be addressed have crowded in. That doesn't mean I don't care about my situation or yours --- I continue to pray.

I was just coming on to post something from Dr. Coleman, but I have also wondered where everyone was. I usually start a thread after a while and that was what I was going to do; however, I have been checking in here and haven't seen activity.
I believe we may need more active members or new members to keep things flowing. Those of us who have been estranged for some time, have learned to cope somewhat better and focus on other life issues as everloving mentioned. But with that being said, a few of us with several years of estrangement under our belt could offer support for the newbies. I check in quite often and I am more than happy to be involved in a discussion and certainly, to pray.
As Renate9 mentioned, feeling secure, for many here, is of utmost importance. I was working with someone from another site but it got complicated and I just haven't heard back from her. But I truly understand why she may have become discouraged. This site has not made it easy to change our settings and everything is done thru e-mail. Also, in the midst of trying to become more secure, a few members posted that they were fine with the way our site is. In order to make changes, I felt we really needed support. At this point, I have no answer to those who are concerned about posting because of confidentiality. Not sure what else we could do. Any ideas?
As for me, personally, I have had the flu, then stomach thing and now sinus infection. Working in schools makes this commonplace. But this has been a tough flu season for everyone. Also, they found out I am anemic and I have been going through some testing to find out why. Also, trying to sell our home but no clue where we want to go. (lol)
Luke, when you get time, hearing about the wedding would be wonderful. Definitely a positive in the midst of estrangement.
I will post Dr. Coleman's info on a new thread.
Glad to hear from some of you. Hope to hear from more. Hearing good news is always welcome. Blessings.....

Thanks for all the replys. Since I last wrote I had the flu too. Surely does take a lot out of us doesn't it. Glad to know others are pushing through with 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. Let's press on sisters. 💘
