To all our dear friends here I want to wish you a Blessed Christmas. It is a hard time of the year for anyone going through estrangement. You will be in my prayers. Welcome here to some of our new friends. We are here for you. May God bless us all as we dwell on the true meaning of Christmas.
Love and Blessings, Linda

Thank you, lindajoan for your Christmas wishes to all of us. Thank you, also, for always being here....your solid presence and your prayers.
Christmas is one of the most difficult holidays when we are estranged from our adult children and grandchildren and other family members. But, as linda said, we need to "...dwell on the true meaning of Christmas." When our minds start to become consumed with thoughts of our estranged family, I pray we can each stop and remember the reason for the season... the birth of our Savior. Christmas blessings...

Merry Christmas for all the parents who are missing their children. May God keep them safe in their absence from our lives, and bring them back to us oneday.

Merry Christmas! This has been a merry one for me. I have been able to enjoy the Lord's blessing of my family and friends without the grief over estrangement from my son overshadowing everything. I am so grateful for this forum where other Christian parents also deal with this heartache. I am finding more success in laying this burden on Jesus and trusting in his perfect love. I felt called to send my son a message recently filled with good wishes for his life and expressing that I recognize I have not been a perfect mother but that being his mother has given me joy. Kind of a "Dear John" it's not you it's me - lets not have hard feelings - message. I have felt great peace knowing that I said the things I most wanted to say. I wish "the peace that passes all understanding" for all who miss a loved one this season.
